Salvage and Practical Disaster Recovery is a new event which focuses on procedures for successful implementation of an emergency plan. This day focuses on strategies for the successful implementation of your emergency plan.

11am – Initial reactions – how to respond most effectively to minimise damage

12.05pm Initial approaches to salvage – types of damage, restoration and stabilisation options, handling and packing
1pm Lunch
1.45pm Hazard spotting – risk assessment in fire / flood situations
2pm Minor incident scenario – practical exercise handling damaged material
3pm Break
3.20pm Adapting your approach to major incidents
3.40pm Desktop exercise - major incident scenario
4pm Feedback of results from desktop exercise and discussion
4.30pm Close Numbers are limited.

Costs, early bird and multiple place bookings

Costs for attending the course will be £175 + VAT for Priority Users, £275 + VAT for non Priority Users. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided for all attendees. Organisations who book two or more places across the series will obtain a 15% discount on each place (£157 for PUs/ £243 for non PUs). Please note that refunds cannot be given if cancellations are made 14 days before the course. Bookings made before June 30th 2008 will also be eligible for a 10% discount (PU rate £157 or £141 for multiple places, non PU rate £243 or £220 for multiple places).
